In the waning days of Myspace -- just before it became a ghost town of autobots and the like -- I was contacted by a producer from Nottingham by the name of Dr. B. I really liked his beats, he enjoyed my raps, so we decided to work on a song together. "Hold Up the Lesson" got a positive response from fellow Myspacer's, so we decided to continue our collaborations, without ever really considering a cohesive project.
I started working with other producers, and then Passalacqua became a main focus in 2011, so I strayed away from the solo material for longer than I had expected. I made a conscious decision that this year, I would maintain a steady balance of both solo and Passalacqua releases.
If all goes to plan, I'll have 5 solo EP's out this year.
Two of which are older songs from Dr. B and I that were recently given a proper spit-shine, and will be available for free download on his Bandcamp.
The first of which, Just So You Know, will be available this Tuesday, January 31st. These tracks were recorded between 2008 and 2010, and I sure hope ya like 'em.
