Heading out of Richmond, Ellwood Thompson's showed me the light.
After dealing with rush hour traffic for somewhere between 45 minutes and I don't know, three days, we made it to Spike Hill, a bar/music venue in the heart of Williamsburg. Brent went off to the City Winery in Manhattan, while Rob and I stayed in Brooklyn to drink and drink and drink.
Soaked up our liquor drinks with some BAD Burger*, and met up with Kwesi back at Spike Hill. Kwesi raps under the alias GoldZilla, and along with his DJ Paul (SomeKid), they make up The Anonymous. While Paul made it to Brooklyn, his turntables unfortunately did not. Rap life, amiright?
10-20 people at the show last night. The majority of our shows on this tour have been that way, which is perfectly fine. The way I see it...if one person comes out to your show, put on the best goddamn show you can. They came out to see something -- don't concern yourself with who didn't come. You're not performing for them. Be thankful anyone is listening, and win 'em over with what you do best.
Stayed with our friends Luke, Jean and AJ last night. Love those people, man. Cozy little spot in Clinton Hill. Brent and I woke up early and grabbed some Dough donuts before heading out to Philadelphia.
*I'm writing this as we head to Philly. Brent left the tour bottle of Sriracha at BAD yesterday, and we just
tried to get it back, to no avail. RIP, Sriracha. There were so many hot chips left to make :(
