The Ooze.

2.11.13. The Ooze.
The Ooze is the result of me having to face my problems head-on. I've let negativity influence my actions...I haven't been a good friend/brother/partner in quite some time. I've been extremely selfish and willfully short-sighted, I've let down the ones I care about, and that's not the person that I am. I want need to put that person behind.

Sometimes you want to venture back to the past, nostalgic for a moment in time that never really existed -- and that's a deep, deep sadness, man. To discover that you're a ghost. On the other hand, there are people in your life that are iridescent sources of positivity, and sometimes, when things are so good, you overlook it. You become complacent with excellence. You sabotage what really matters.

The Ooze.

I need to purge the poison that I've become. That's what The Ooze is to me. Below is the title track to the EP that I'm releasing on Monday. Thanks to Eddie Logix for producing the project, and Nathan Bortz for the artistic accompaniment.

Take a step back and be grateful for what you have. Call your Grandma. Listen to your friends, hug your partner, help people out. Be nice. Change is good. Change for the better.
